We had a week to spend in the United States, and we couldn’t decide what we wanted to do. Everywhere we wanted to go seemed so far away. When we heard about Tierra Marina Tours, we thought it would be nice not to have to plan anything, but nice was an understatement because it was one of the best weeks we’ve had in a while.

Except for the amazing team that took care of us during that week, the most amazing part was not having to worry about anything and plan what to do. All we had to do was enjoy our time during this special trip.

So let’s start from the beginning of this amazing week!

The first 3 days we stayed in an unbelievably beautiful house in San Diego, which had everything we could think of: multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, huge space for the living room and the kitchen, and the best part was definitely the incredible view from the living room.

Before we start, it is really important to mention that the itinerary for the week was custom-made for us and based on what we like to do.

On our first day, right after our flight, we took things a little slow because we had a bit of jet lag. We grabbed lunch at a really cool dinner, which was kind of a quick dive into American culture. Then we went for a walk in Cabrillo National Monument. We got to see the beautiful view from the monument, toured the lighthouse, and hiked near the tide pools. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and it was a great start to our trip.

We ended the day in a really fun museum that is interactive, and it was a really interesting experience. After that, we went back to the house to have a good night's sleep.

We asked to start the next day a bit later than planned (of course, the team had no problem with it). First thing in the morning, we went on this trolly that took us all around San Diego, and we got to see all the different parts of the city. Each part has some really unique and interesting stories and features. We stopped by Little Italy (apparently San Diego has a huge Italian community) for lunch. We continued to Coronado Island and had a really good time walking down the beach and visiting the famous hotel on the island. We asked to go to a Lululemon shop, so of course it was added to the itinerary. We finished the day at La Jolla. The sunset was pretty bad, but we had the best time watching the many sea lions at the beach.

On our third and last day in San Diego, we started at a really special museum. The USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft museum. This was a very special experience because it wasn’t something we'd ever seen before. It was really interesting to learn some of the war history of the United States. We also remade the famous sailor statue. We finished the day at La Jolla again to try to catch a better sunset. Mission accomplished and it was one of the most beautiful and exciting sunsets we’ve ever had.

The next day, we started our journey to Loreto, Mexico. The first step of the journey was crossing the border by car. This was a really cool experience because it was the first time we ever crossed one by car. The second step was catching a flight from Tijuana to Loreto, a really small, quiet town. Loreto isn’t really a huge tourist location, so there weren’t many tourists other than us. This was really nice because it wasn’t busy at all, and that made the experience so much better. The house in Mexico was even better than the one in San Diego; it had a private pool and was right on the beach! We spent 4 days in Loreto, and it was the best experience ever! The first thing we have to talk about is Mexican food. OMG! Every meal starts with a huge bowl of guacamole made from avocados that tastes like heaven. Then we’d have some bubbling lemonade and a Mexican dish. We can’t even put into words how good the food was! Loreto is known for its beautiful blue waters and variety of fish. We had a really fun experience taking a boat to two islands, where we snorkeled with sea lion, and saw many beautiful fish and spent some time at these amazing beaches. We also went into a cave with the boat, which was really cool. We also took some ATVs and had a fun ride around town and by the beautiful beach, seeing amazing views along the way. One of the best experiences was this hike. We went up to the mountains, saw big rocks, fresh water springs, and beautiful scenery. We also got to learn a little bit of Spanish and heard some really interesting Mexican history. We toured the city which is very pretty and very unique. Mexico was so fun, and we are already waiting to go back!

To conclude, this week has been such an amazing week; we got a small taste of these two beautiful areas, experienced the culture and local food, and got to know amazing people. We can’t express enough how amazing the team at Tierra Marina Tours was and how kind and nice they were to us. If you are looking to go on an organized trip where you don’t have to plan anything, just come and have an amazing time. Tierra Marina Tours is the company to do it with!
